ACDC is CALEA Accredited

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) is a credentialing authority whose primary mission is to accredit public safety agencies. The Addison Consolidated Dispatch Center (ACDC) maintains its elite status through accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), a program backed by the U.S. Department of Justice. This certification requires ACDC to undergo rigorous annual reviews by CALEA assessors to verify that its policies and protocols consistently meet all 208 CALEA standards.

Recent milestones in ACDC's accreditation journey include:

~ April 2025 Assessment: ACDC completed its first comprehensive on-site evaluation since 2021. A site-based assessor inspected facilities, operations, and equipment while conducting 40
interviews with staff, member agencies, and Village of Addison leadership.

~ August 2025 Re-accreditation: Following final interviews with CALEA Commissioners at the Little Rock, AR conference, ACDC was officially awarded re-accreditation on August 9, 2025.

~ Valid Until 2029: This latest credential ensures ACDC remains part of an elite group—representing only about 5% of agencies nationwide—committed to these high professional standards for the next
four years.

CALEA Accreditation validates our commitment to leading with excellence, managing resources responsibly, and serving our public and member agencies with integrity.
